Lucy Frazer MP recently visited Ely Police Station where she met with Detective Inspector Nick Skipworth and Sergeant Phil Priestley.
Lucy said, “This meeting was about making sure we have the optimum working relationship so that Policing East Cambridgeshire know how I can offer support as an MP and I have a better understanding of the most effective way of raising any concerns on behalf of my constituents. I also took time to see how government can help the police within the criminal justice system in my new role as a Justice Minister."
Sergeant Priestley said: “Lucy Frazer MP has recently been promoted to a government role in the Department of Justice - so it is of double benefit for us to talk about local issues, and also to consider how the criminal justice system is supporting victims and helping us to attack criminality effectively.
“Ms. Frazer was incredibly supportive of the police and is very keen to help us build safer communities.”
