At a meeting last week in Westminster with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Lucy Frazer MP joined neighbouring MPs and the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to discuss investment in the region.
Combined Authority Mayor James Palmer highlighted the potential to boost productivity and growth in the region and the need for investment to support this growth.
Lucy Frazer said about the meeting, “It was an upbeat and positive meeting. By joining forces we made a compelling case for our fast growing and extremely productive region which the Chancellor acknowledged.”
Those in attendance included Lucy Frazer MP, Sir Henry Bellingham MP, Jo Churchill MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer Phillip Hammond, Chloe Smith MP, Elizabeth Truss MP, Steve Barclay MP, George Freeman MP and Mayor James Palmer.
