An investment of up to £370 million more in the Post Office network is welcome news. The Post Office is at the heart of communities across the UK and none more so than in South East Cambridgeshire which boasts a total of 29 Post Offices.
Many of our post offices have received investment in the last 4 years enabling them to modernise and meet the changing needs of customers. Typically our main post offices are opening longer hours and some even on Sundays.
Balsham post office had approached their MP, Lucy Frazer, last year, fearing a loss of funding. Lucy was pleased, at the time, to be able to reassure them that this was not the case and is delighted by this latest announcement.
“Our post offices play a vital role in our community and I am very pleased that the Government has announced further funding to protect smaller branches and further modernise the network.”
