Lucy Frazer MP attended the Bowel Cancer UK drop in event at Westminster last week. The event was linked to World Cancer Day and was primarily about raising awareness of the importance of early diagnosis. Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer. 9/10 people, however, survive bowel cancer with an early diagnosis. Improving early diagnosis, identifying and managing those at high risk of bowel cancer and enabling access to the best treatment and care for those diagnosed in the late stages of bowel cancer are the key concerns of Bowel Cancer UK.
