At Prime Minister's Questions this week Lucy raised the Minor Injuries Unit at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Ely. Lucy highlighted to the Prime Minister Theresa May that the NHS’ own documentation recognises local care is the future for patients.
The Prime Minister agreed with Lucy that the Five Year Forward View does recognise the importance of the local provision of care and stated that it is absolutely right that local people should be consulted and local concerns taken into account when looking at the future of Minor Injuries Unit.
The Prime Minister also indicated that she was aware of the scheduled public meeting in Ely on 27th September.
