Sienna Carter, a year 2 pupil at Fordham Church of England Primary School and the winner of Lucy Frazer’s Christmas card design competition this year was photographed together with Lucy and her winning design.
The imaginative and colourful drawing of a red robin on a branch against a colourful landscape dotted with snow really caught the attention of the judge.
Lucy was delighted with the choice and said “It’s such an original design, every time I look at it, it makes me smile and I hope it will have the same effect on those receiving it in the post. Thank you to Sienna for her really fabulous artwork and for making my 2017 Christmas card one that will really stand out on the mantle piece!
“I really appreciate all the entries we received this year from primary schools across the constituency and would also like to congratulate the two runners up, Era from Ely St Mary’s Church of England Junior School and Lily Brandt from Cheveley Church of England Primary School.”
This is the 3rd year Lucy has run a Christmas card design competition open to primary school pupils across the constituency.
The production of this year’s card was kindly sponsored by NCC Group, a global expert in cyber security and risk mitigation.
Lucy took the opportunity to help raise awareness of the work of local charity the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) by including their logo and a few lines about the important work they do in every card.
