This week Lucy welcomed three very different groups to Westminster.
First of all, in what could be termed a return match, Lucy, met with the Stetchworth Women's Institute who she visited a few months ago in August.
Next came a visit from the Mothers' Union, Ely branch. Lucy very much enjoyed spending time with them and was eager to catch up with them on the work they do campaigning on social justice issues like Bye Buy Childhood and The Official 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence. Lucy last met with the Mother's Union when she was a candidate in November 2014.
Finally, as the photos show, a fun time was had with a group of children from St Andrew's Church of England Primary School in Soham. Lucy visited St Andrew’s last year during National Storytelling Week. At the time she got to listen to lots of short stories, written and read by the pupils themselves. She hopes that the stories she was able to tell them about life in Parliament were as entertaining! The pupils also got to sit in on a debate and ask Lucy lots of questions which included 'what the best thing about the job was' and 'how much she earns'!
"It was such a pleasure to welcome all three groups, all of whom I've met before and was very pleased to see again. I hope they were worthwhile, informative and enjoyable visits for all involved. They certainly were for me!"
