David Hockney and the Brothers Grimm selling exhibition was officially opened by Lucy Frazer MP in a ceremony that took place this evening at Babylon Arts, Waterside, Ely. The exhibition includes a selection of etchings inspired by Hockney’s love of Grimm’s Fairy Tales and his interest in the poetry of Greek poet C.P.Cavafy. It is quite a coup for Babylon ARTS to get this prestigious exhibition to their gallery space and it is hoped that they will attract a large number of visitors over the month long run.
Babylon ARTS are a small independent arts charity running a gallery, cinema and many youth and community projects throughout the District and beyond. The charity is run by Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire (ADEC). For further details, go to http://www.babylonarts.org.uk/gallery/view,david-hockney-selling-exhibi…;
