Lucy Frazer MP has been appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, David Lidington MP.
Lucy said: “I am honoured to have been appointed as PPS to David Lidington, Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. David has been an MP for Aylesbury since 1992 and has held a number of ministerial posts. As such he has vast experience and I am very much looking forward to working closely with him at the Ministry of Justice.
“The rule of law and the principles of justice are areas that I have always had a keen interest in and indeed led me to a long career as a barrister prior to becoming an MP. In the aftermath of the sickening terrorist attacks we have all recently witnessed the importance of protecting our values and our freedoms is paramount. I am committed to working hard in this new role supporting the Secretary of State in this and all the other aspects of law and justice that the Ministry of Justice oversees.”
Lucy Frazer was first elected as an MP for South East Cambridgeshire in 2015 and was re-elected with an increased majority in the General Election last month. She has served as a member of the Education Select Committee and as PPS to the Paymaster General and Minister to the Cabinet Office.
