I was delighted to attend a drop-in session in Parliament with Internet Matters and Google to discuss keeping our children safe online.
Internet Matters and its partners have put together a specially curated parent pack and a new resource hub designed for education professionals that provide parents and schools with access to a range of resources to support them with the challenge of tackling issues like sexting and cyberbullying.
Some of the resources available to parents and teachers include age-specific online safety guides, guides to social media, and advice to enable parents and teachers to have productive conversations with children about how to behave safely online, how to identify potential risks, and what to do and where to go if they need help.
If you would like more information, or to access these resources, please go to www.internetmatters.org. You can also contact me directly at [email protected] if there are any specific concerns about online safety you would like to raise
