Lucy Frazer MP and Councillor Paul Raynes were at the Shade Primary School in Soham to discuss concerns over road safety in the vicinity, with Headteacher Lisa Radcliffe.
Lucy said: “Addressing the rising concerns of staff and parents at the Shade Primary School over the safety of children making their way to and from school is clearly a priority. In our meeting with Headteacher, Ms Radcliffe, Councillor Raynes outlined the work he has been doing to explore the different options available.
“Both he and I will be pressing Cambridgeshire County Council to deliver an improved single crossing on Kingfisher Driver and to fund the training, supervision and insurance of a volunteer school crossing patrol run by the PTA at the Shade Primary School.”
