In a recent meeting with Iain Stewart, MP for Milton Keynes South and Champion for the Cambridge-Milton Keynes-Oxford corridor, Lucy Frazer MP took the opportunity to emphasise the need for a station in Soham and the dualling of the A10 as critical to realising the corridor’s potential.
Mr Stewart was appointed as Champion for this important corridor in December 2017 following the announcement in the autumn Budget of an ambitious locally-led development programme and the intention to 'create a dynamic new growth corridor for the 21st Century’
This important economic area is seen as having the potential to become the UK’s Silicon Valley and Mr Stewart's role as a dedicated champion is to work with partners including local communities, local businesses, local authorities, local councillors and local MPs to help it fulfil its potential.
