Food manufacturer Hain Daniels produce brands including Hartley’s, Rose’s, Robertson’s, Sun-Pat, New Covent Garden Soup and Linda McCartney’s.
The business employs 450 people at their largest manufacturing site in Histon. From this facility, they manufacture a number of the UK’s favourite jams, marmalades, jellies, honey, mincemeat, fruit fillings & fruit ingredients.
Manufacturing of preserves first launched out of Histon in 1873. The site has seen considerable growth since then and local MP, Lucy Frazer, recently visited and met with Grocery Division Managing Director, David Atkinson.
Lucy said, “Hain Daniels have a long history in the area and their site in Histon, from where they produce the majority of jam, marmalade and jelly in the UK, is impressive. The secret to their success may be that despite having Royal Warrants on some of their brands dating back to 1911, they are always adding to their portfolio and updating their processes.”
The most recent addition to their already extensive collection of conserves is 'William's', a new premium jam brand made with British-grown fruit.
