Jan Thomas, the recently appointed new Chief Officer of the Cambridge and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) had her first meeting with Lucy Frazer, MP for South East Cambridgeshire.
Jan has over 25 years' experience working in and with the NHS. Starting her career as a nurse, she has worked in acute NHS hospitals and senior roles in private sector healthcare.
The two reflected on the Local Urgent Care Services (LUCS) pilot which has been extended. Other matters concerning the CCG were discussed and the new Chief Officer made it clear that she is focused on ensuring that the care received by the people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is the best care possible and that service users are put at the centre of decisions made by the CCG.
Lucy Frazer said, “It was a pleasure to meet Jan and I very much look forward to working with her in her new role.”
