Following my recent meeting with the Roads Minister to discuss plans to upgrade the A10, I recently organised a meeting with officials from the Department for Transport, the Combined Authority and the County Council to establish how we can progress with the necessary improvements as rapidly as possible.
This includes making sure that the A10 study group is adequately prepared to evaluate the full range of upgrade options in the Outline Business Case, which was funded by the Department for Transport to the tune of £4 million. We also discussed how we can best seize the appropriate funding opportunities from Government.
I am determined to work with the group to deliver on this important project so we can reduce delays, minimise ‘rat-running’ and make it easier to get about.
