Earlier this year, I shared that the Government was preparing to roll out a £1 million community fund for the expansion of defibrillators in the community.
Defibrillators can be the difference between life and death, especially when administered quickly, which is why it is vital that we increase the quantity that are publicly accessible.
I am especially pleased, as someone who worked on the foundations of this fund when I was in the Treasury, that the application process has now begun. Organisations in my constituency who want to place a defibrillator in a community space such as a town hall, community centre, local shop, post office or local park, are invited to complete an ‘expression of interest’ form, which can be accessed here: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx....
Please note that all successful applicants will be asked to match or contribute to the funding they receive, in the hope of doubling the number of new defibrillators created by the fund.
