Cambridgeshire Police are seeking your views on the proposals for a new police station on the outskirts of Milton.
The planned police hub would house many of the functions currently provided at Parkside police station in Cambridge and the consultation will look at the Milton proposals for land next to the Park & Ride.
Under the proposals, the new police station would include:
- Enhanced facilities enabling the constabulary to respond to, and investigate, complex crimes such as fraud and online investigations more effectively
- Enhanced facilities allowing for the increased use of virtual courts which reduces the need for travel
- Increase in cell provision from 12 to 24 to help meet future demand
- The facilities and ability to better meet demand as population growth continues
- Better road access, subject to less traffic, enabling officers to respond to calls for service more efficiently
The consultation ends at 5pm on 31 July. Take part at cambspoliceconsultation.co.uk.
There will also be a virtual exhibition and a series of live web chats, which will be held on:
Tuesday, July 21, 5pm-7pm
Saturday, July 25, 10am-12pm
Thursday, July 30, 12pm-2pm
