Cambridgeshire receives £2.3 million for local bus services

I know how important bus travel is for many of my constituents, which is why I have been fighting in recent months to protect services across Cambridgeshire.

It is also vital that they are affordable for passengers.

That's why I am thrilled to see that the Government has given Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and bus operators £2,314,172 to extend the £2 bus fare cap and improve local services.

This investment will ensure nobody pays more than £2 for a bus journey until 31 October 2023, and no more than £2.50 until 30 November 2024.
