There has been a critical lack of availability of NHS dentists in the Ely area for some time. In response to letters from constituents highlighting this issue, local MP, Lucy Frazer has been liaising with NHS England. On Friday 26th April, she was delighted to visit the newly revamped and expanded St Mary’s Dental Practice in Ely which is now accepting new NHS patients.
The practice was taken over in December 2018 by husband and wife team Tom Norfolk & Nicola Herrington who have invested heavily in the practice’s infrastructure and together built a team of dentists to better serve the Ely area.
Lucy said, “I was really pleased to be able to see the work Tom and Nicola have done to regenerate St Mary’s Dental Practice and I wish then all the best with their new venture. It is a welcome relief that those living in and around Ely, in need of a dentist, will now be much better served.
Nicola and Tom have recruited dentists from around the country and are still in the process of recruiting more. Lucy is pictured above with owner Tom and new dentist Chloe Richardson who has relocated to Cambridgeshire after training in Sheffield.
