Today is International Women’s Day, a chance to mark the incredible contribution of women across society.
There have been some great women that have helped their local community throughout the lockdowns of the past year.
Healthcare heroes and community champions have helped to lead the response to coronavirus in our local community. Women leading our local response, have included our Ely Ranger, the head of our local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, the Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire County Council, and the leaders of both South Cambridgeshire District Council and East Cambridgeshire District Council. I was pleased to see some of their work during the summer and the difference that they are all making to help support local individuals.
As the national restrictions begin to be lifted, I am looking forward to being able to once again visit many of the great female owned businesses that are in the Cambridgeshire area. If you own a business and I can provide any support or advice then please email me on [email protected].
