The Curwen Print Study Centre, in Linton is an educational fine art printmaking charity. Local MP Lucy Frazer went to find out more about what they do and to talk with them about their future plans to move and expand.
The Studio is well equipped for workshops in Relief - Lino, Woodcuts and Cardboard Cuts, Intaglio - Etching and Dry Point, Solar Plate, Monoprinting, Collagraphs, Letterpress, Screen Printing, Stone & Photo Lithography. Lucy had a go at using some of the presses and spent time talking so some of the artists present.
Lucy said, "We are lucky to have this educational fine art printmaking charity in our vicinity. They cater for artists of all abilities and ages and also pride themselves on the educational programmes they run for schools. With their lease due to expire in a few years, we discussed their plans for the future and possible sources of funding to enable them to continue to flourish and grow."
