Like much of the country, Cambridgeshire has experienced excessive rainfall in recent weeks which has caused flooding in some areas of my constituency, including Snailwell, Fordham, Burwell, Haddenham, and Queen Adelaide. Unfortunately, in some cases, this has caused damage to property and restricted access on local roads.
In response, my team and I have been working hard to address these issues with the relevant authorities, like Cambridgeshire County Council, Anglian Water and Network Rail. I am pleased that, so far, this has resulted in positive action in Fordham, where County Council works have been taking place, and Queen Adelaide, where the County Highways Team and Anglian Water have agreed to urgently clear the drains.
I will continue to assist these bodies in the coming days and weeks, and raise any new reports that come in to my email from constituents. If you need to contact me about this, please email [email protected]
