As part of National Apprenticeship Week I spoke with apprentices from Marshall Aerospace and Marshall Fleet Solutions, training at the Marshall Skills Academy. Holly, Hannah, Naqib, Adam and Juliusz are all at difference stages in their training - some are school leavers and others are adult re-trainers. It was fascinating to hear their personal stories about what made them want to become an apprentice, their experiences and how they’ve had to adapt to new ways of learning during the pandemic. Above all it was great to hear their ideas about how we can encourage more individuals, of all ages, to think about this employment pathway.
