Project Gigabit is set to bring a boost to over 98,000 homes in Cambridgeshire!
Ensuring that constituents are reliably connected to broadband has been one of my priorities since I was first elected, and I am really pleased by the news that the Government is set to invest £5billion as part of its pledge to level up connectivity across the UK.
Project Gigabit will upgrade digital infrastructure in rural areas like Cambridgeshire, and progress on the project means that the UK is on track for the fastest rollout of gigabit speeds in Europe, with 60% of premises to have access to these speeds by the end of this year.
For us locally, it will mean that rural areas will be better served by a reliable connection and I will continue to provide further updates on this project as it is announced.
