Many constituents in Burrough Green have contacted me with their concerns about speeding in the local area.
I was pleased to meet with long-serving Special Constable, Thomas Howard, in Burrough Green recently for an update on the work that the police are doing to crack down on speeding. Recent data suggests that almost half of drivers passing through on the B1061 are breaking the 30mph speed limit. 62 penalties were issued in January.
During my visit two cars were stopped for speeding, and many others visibly reduced their speed due to the presence of the police.
I will continue to work with the police and the parish council on tackling this issue.
