On 17 October, Cllr Bill Hunt will present a motion to the full council of Cambridgeshire County Council to downgrade the A1421 from an ‘A’ road to a ‘B’ road.
This is designed to reduce the volume of HGVs using Haddenham, Wilburton, Stretham and Wicken as a “rat run” which impacts many of my constituents everyday.
I have written a letter of support for this motion to the Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire County Council, Stephen Moir, and have started a petition ahead of the meeting to capture the strength of local feeling about this.
