Swaffham Prior Community Heat off-gas initiative

I recently met with Kwasi Kwarteng MP, Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth and Councillors Steve Count and Josh Schumann to press for further Government financial support for the Swaffham Prior Community Heat off-gas initiative.

I have been working closely with East Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council on this project, and it would be the first of its kind in the UK to take an entire village off oil heating and to a renewable heat source. It would be a fantastic blueprint for similar projects across the country and help play a part in the UK reaching its ambitious decarbonisation and Net Zero by 2030 goals.
