I am very disappointed that the Post Office has not been able to deliver a service to my constituents in Waterbeach for the best part of a month now, and have just announced that they are due to close in Lode.
I know that many local residents rely on these services every day, especially those who are elderly or vulnerable and cannot easily access another branch.
That’s why I have written to the Royal Mail Group to call on the Post Office to reinstate a like-for-like replacement service for Waterbeach as soon as possible, and to ask that they keep me closely updated on the evolving situation in Lode so that we can find a solution that is in the interests of my constituents.
