A large number of residents in Haddenham and the surrounding area have been affected by disrupted mobile coverage for several weeks following a fire at the local water tower, which damaged the wireless infrastructure.
I have written to the owner of the water tower, Anglian Water, and the Wireless Infrastructure Group, which operates the wireless infrastructure at the water tower, to press for a fix to the coverage issues.
Wireless Infrastructure Group has given an update to say they are working with mobile network operators to restore local coverage by the end of June.
However, I am conscious that the constituents affected have already had to deal with disrupted coverage for several weeks and therefore, I have secured a meeting with the Wireless Infrastructure Group team on Friday to discuss what can be done to restore full coverage sooner.
In the meantime, Wireless Infrastructure Group has recommended that affected constituents contact their network provider.
