Should 16 year olds have the right to vote? That was the question debated by students at Linton Village College during my recent visit as part of my annual debating competition.
For the proposition, students raised interesting points such as how voting rights can increase interest in politics, and the opportunities that it can bring. And for the opposition, students argued that being aged 16 only offers a fraction of life experience.
An interesting array of opinions! Congratulations to the winners William Moss and Benjamin Foot who will progress to the next stage of the competition.
