There are a growing number of ‘hidden crimes’ as we spend more time indoors and online during the lockdown. The Internet Watch Foundation, which is based in South East Cambridgeshire, does a huge amount to remove illicit and indecent material from the internet, especially that which is exploitative of children.
I had an opportunity to talk with Susie Hargreaves, the CEO of the IWF, about the steps that it is taking to continue its good work whilst many of its employees are working from home, and the expertise it is providing on a wide range fo 'online harms', which the Government aims to tackle in forthcoming legislation.
