Anglian Water has launched Phase 3 of its consultation on the Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plan relocation project. Running until the 27th April, this is your opportunity to share your views on the design proposals for the new facility, including mitigation measures and preliminary environmental information.
Further information on these plans as well as the Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR) and the draft Development Consent Order (DCO) are all available to view on their website - www.cwwtpr.com.
I will continue to press for dedicated access if possible, however I am also exploring with Anglian Water and National Highways improvements to the B1047 and the current slip road at junction 34. National Highways have agreed with me that they will discuss further with Anglian Water what further improvements could be made to the road network around junction 34 to allay concerns around the additional HGV traffic that the proposed relocation of the CWWTP will generate.
Whilst I appreciate that this is not the outcome that we all want, I do want to hear from my constituents as to any possible solutions that I can feed into this ongoing conversation.
