Last Friday I met with the East-West Rail CEO and some of his team to discuss the project. I visited some of the locations in my constituency which would be affected if the proposed railway line entered South East Cambridgeshire from the north.
From visiting the Fen Road level crossing and Landbeach Road, it was particularly evident that a northern route would negatively impact the communities of Milton and Landbeach. I have been consistent in my opposition for this northern route, and I will continue to feed in my concerns about choosing a northern route.
