Most recently, three county lines in Cambridgeshire have been closed following a week of police action to rid the county of drug gangs. This resulted in 15 arrests and the seizure of £11,000 in cash and 181 wraps of illegal substances. Thank you to the police for their continued efforts to rid our area of crime- and I will continue to work with and support the local community to keep everyone safe.
Concerns were raised with me back in 2018 about increased levels of crime and antisocial behaviour in Willingham and Over following which I organised a public meeting with the Parish Council and the Police. Since then the situation has significantly improved and the Parish Council have worked closely with the police, producing the Community Policing Plan for Willingham. I am pleased that issues of antisocial behaviour and vandalism have decreased.
