On Friday I visited Dalehead Foods for an update on their work and to meet with staff. The factory has 350 employees, and a loyal workforce, with some employees at the company for 20+ years.
I met with Nick Purnell and Zaggy Zachariou the Site Manager to discuss how business is progressing, how they are supporting the UK food supply chain and for an update on how they are handling challenges facing the entire UK pork sector.
As part of the tour, I saw their processing and packaging lines and met Kasia Szynal, an employee who was awarded 'women in meat' champion for 2022.
It was great to see how well they are doing and the support they are offering to their workforce. Thank you for the visit!
