Mead Construction is a family-run business that has operated for 35 years, specialising in construction, haulage and plant hire across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Hertfordshire.
During my recent visit to their site we discussed the topics of rural crime and how the Government's measures to help reduce the pressures on the shortage of HGV drivers has helped with recruitment locally.
We also discussed some of the challenges facing business at the moment, such as retention and recruitment and fuel prices, and the support that is available to businesses from the government.
