The Community Payback Scheme is an important part of the justice system, and St Mary’s in Swaffham Prior is benefitting from the scheme. During my recent visit I met with Daniel Baker (Unpaid Operations Manager, Probation Service) and a probationer who were cleaning up plant detritus in the Churchyard. We spoke about the scheme and how rewarding the work is with probationers.
As part of the The Queen's Green Canopy, the Community Payback Scheme is planting 50k trees across the UK and they also take part in the #GreatBritishSpringClean.
