It is well known that Cambridgeshire has a long and proud history that dates back thousands of years. However, it is quite another thing to witness the evidence up close.
This is what Haddenham residents and I were able to do last Thursday at a public viewing of ancient artefacts discovered by housing association, Orbit, who discovered the items when preparing the ground for an affordable housing development in the area. Some dated back to c.2000BC!
I shared my desire to see the artefacts displayed in local museums in future so that more of my constituents have an opportunity to engage with our county’s past.
