I know how important effective bus travel is for my constituents which is why I am working hard to secure the necessary improvements to services.
As part of these efforts, I regularly speak with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, who have responsibility for managing the recent Government £4.6 million injection into Cambridgeshire bus services for 2023-2025.
In a recent call, we had a discussion about the Mayor's 'Local Transport and Connectivity Plan', during which I urged officials to fairly recognise my constituents; many of whom live in rural villages where, in most cases, buses are the only alternative mode of transport to cars.
