Horseheath Post Office to close

Last week, I wrote to the Post Office to request more details about the planned closure of its Horseheath branch.

I am disappointed that the Post Office has since confirmed that the branch will shut on 23 January following the postmaster's resignation and will not reopen due to the existing short opening times and low customer usage.

These types of closures are detrimental to our rural communities and I have asked the Post Office to keep me updated in good time about any more changes to services in my constituency.
