I recently spoke to residents from Queen Adelaide, Prickwillow and Chettisham about the local and national issues that matter most to them.
Residents shared their views on several issues, including the importance of quality roads, transport connectivity in the area and widening access to sports facilities.
In recognition of their points, I said I would:
• Continue following-up any outstanding highways issues raised to my attention, whilst ensuring local authorities are completing satisfactory repairs with the £3 million of extra pothole funding for 2023-24
• Keep promoting East Cambridgeshire District Council’s ‘New Bus Service Proposals’ – which includes a service from Burwell to Ely via Prickwillow – to the Mayor as our region’s transport authority
• Continue to support all local community initiatives
