POTHOLES UPDATE
I recently met with the Director of Highways and Transport at Cambridgeshire County Council to discuss the state of the roads in South East Cambridgeshire.
I raised issues that my constituents have raised with me, including inaction on potholes, ineffective repairs and a perceived lack of strategy.
I also raised some specific cases, including two serious problems on the B1061 in Burrough Green and the B1063 between Ashley and Cheveley, which I am pleased have now both received the necessary attention.
I will be meeting the council again in the coming weeks to evaluate their plans for the future in more detail, including how they are looking to use their share of the government's £91 million funding pledge for our area. In the meantime, I will continue to offer my assistance to the highways team and my constituents on this matter.
