For many years, I have been campaigning for an upgraded A10 to cater for the increased traffic in our local area.
I successfully supported a bid for £2 million of government match funding for the options study in 2021, but this study is now coming to an end.
My office had a meeting with representatives from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority earlier this week. It was confirmed that the final options will be presented at a meeting of the Combined Authority's Transport and Infrastructure Committee on the 26 June.
Cllr Anna Bailey and I made it clear that the government's mandate for this funding is to deliver increased road capacity and that we will keep pushing for our favoured option of dualling with an active travel route.
